SodaAsh is one of the most basic industrial chemicals and essentialcomponent of many products which we use in our everyday lives. SodaAsh is the 10thmost consumed inorganic compound in the world, which has been usedfor over 5,000 years. It is a safe, simple compound and a keycomponent in a variety of industrial processes from the manufactureof glass to dry powder detergents and lithium0ion batteries. It isalso an important ingredient in the food and pharmaceuticalindustries.

Abouthalf of all soda ash is consumed by the glass industry, flatglass for the housing, commercial building and automotive industries, container glass for consumer products. Other glass-related usesinclude lighting, fiberglass insulation, glassware, display screensfor consumer electronics and solar panels. Soda Ash is widely used insoaps, detergents, and other cleaning products. It can also be usedto increase the alkalinity in swimming pools, helping to ensurethe proper pH balance of the water. It also provides the sodiumsource for the production of pharmaceuticals, food preservatives, adhesives as well as pulp and paper. Soda Ash is also rawmaterial in some sectors of metallurgy, e.g. removing phosphates andsulphurs from non-ferrous or ferrous ores, recycling aluminumand zinc. Additionally, it is used as smelting flux andflotation agent, moreover in production of lithium-based batteries, and lead-based batteries recycling.
